Gideon's 21st

This goes way back to Jan 11: Gideon's 21st birthday party.
The setting was simple and nice. There were cloths laid on the grass to impersonate picnic on the beach. And there were colourful balloons thrown in to decorate the pool. Everyone was supposed to dress up according to the theme: beach, but I had nothing like that. The only thing I had to go with the theme was my flip-flop. So, Kenneth lent me his another floral printed shirt. It was so Hawaii.
The birthday boy
After eating, everyone gathered by the poolside to watch short performances and dedications.

It's a pool party, so everyone gets wet; whether you like it or not. You either get carried or literally dragged into the pool. But everyone has to go after the birthday boy gets thrown in. So, after struggling and wriggling, everyone is wet!

I'm on 2nd. It wasn't as easy to fall straight sideways as I thought.
It was already 11pm when the uncle called it a day. We were all tired, and it was a Monday the next day. Thankfully, I'm not studying or working. My body ached the next day LOL. It was a good party nonetheless. Now I'm looking forward to CNY. I hope the road trip isn't canceled.

We Just Play

Currently having an online guitar session with Zafran and Angeline; all of us playing and singing.

Welcome to Y2009

Here's a new year! I ushered 2009 in at The Curve. That's us an hour before countdown. From L-clockwise: Caleb, Gideon, Sharon, Sue May, Fu Yi, Kenneth, Juvee, Amelia, Ronnie, and myself. Alex took the picture. Before heading to The Curve, we went to SS2 Murni. I've never liked the Roti Hawaii. I find it so similar to murtabak, and so overrated. So I gave their Kueytiow Goreng a try, and it was horrible. So, don't order that. You can try the Claypot Loushefun tho. There were 11 of us there, and I think 5 ordered Roti Hawaii. LOL So, here we are in The Curve blending into the massive crowd. In the picture below, you will notice Caleb's horrible phototaking skill. Just look at the angle. Despite knowing it was outta place the 1st time, it just kept going on.. Haha, just messing, kay. Don't be surprised to see Caleb in almost all the pictures, cuz it's his camera. We were all sweaty by the end of the band performances. So we went in and sat in a circle like many other groups. It was close to midnight at that time. But we were just sitting down, and nobody really talked. Then Caleb asked me to go out for countdown and we did. I figured the rest knew about it but they didn't. So there were only Caleb and myself during the countdown. The 10minutes fireworks were pretty, especially during the last minute.

But it was difficult to watch. This was how we had to watch the entire time.. I had to stop watching from time to time because my neck hurt. -_- But it was good. I was supposed to meet up with Rishi but it took him very long so we ended up wishing each other on the phone. LOL That's Alex. Now you can take a good look at him since the photos of him above are really small. And below is a picture of the big big crowd. That's only a part of it tho. So, here's to a new beginning. I like this msg. For those who don't have a new year resolution, maybe this can be yours: Life is short, so break the rules, forgive and forget quickly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile. Happy new year! :)
